Patagonia recently purchased a cracker company, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fastcompany.com\/90861975\/why-patagonia-just-bought-a-cracker-company\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Moonshot<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, as part of its commitment to counterbalancing a food system that is \u201cextractive and destructive\u201d, and we love to see this unexpected move. Moonshot uses regenerative agricultural practices, and buying them represents a chance for consumers to help catalyze a market shift. Neither do we. In a powerful move, NPR, BBC and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/canada\/article-cbc-pausing-its-use-of-twitter-after-government-funded-media-label\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CBC<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> have all \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/world\/npr-twitter-social-media-label-1.6807844\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">paused<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d or left Twitter completely in an effort to assert editorial independence. With the platform\u2019s valuation at half of what it was last year, blue checkmarks have disappeared and advertisers are now required to pay for verification even to run an ad. Whether it\u2019s talking about menopause with radical openness, speaking out against age discrimination, age ambivalence is getting its moment in the zeitgeist. April\u2019s edition of Vogue Philippines features <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2023\/apr\/03\/indigenous-tattooist-apo-whang-od-vogue-oldest-cover-star-106-philippines\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apo Whang-Od<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a 106 year old Indigenous tattooist and community leader, on its cover.
